Project updates

So far this year we have admitted around 360 casualty foxes, including 230 cubs. In 2013 we took in just under 550 casualties – a considerably lower number than usual, which reflects our perceived drop in fox numbers in the south east.  Fox, badger and rabbit numbers, in particular, being burrowing animals, were hard hit by the wet 2013 spring and it looks worryingly as if 2014′s late winter weather will have had a similar effect.

Moving to Broadwater Forest Wildlife Hospital has improved our operations considerably over the past two and a half years and is still developing as funds permit.
